Italy
Tuscany, Amalfi, Venice, Lake Como
Nowhere else do landscape, cooking and hospitality fall together so naturally. We know the weeks when it is quiet.

The Portfolio
An overview of what we stand for: the regions we know well, the collections closest to our thinking, and the journeys we most enjoy designing.
Orientation
We do not work with everything that is available. What follows is deliberately limited — the regions, houses and forms of travel we genuinely know and can stand behind.
This is not a directory of suppliers. It describes a direction: which places occupy us, which signature convinces us, and which way of travelling matches how we think.
What is missing is missing for a reason. And what is here we would recommend even if nobody asked.
01 — Destinations we return to
Familiarity comes from repetition. These regions have accompanied us for years — their seasons, their quiet weeks, their houses and the people who run them.

Italy
Tuscany, Amalfi, Venice, Lake Como
Nowhere else do landscape, cooking and hospitality fall together so naturally. We know the weeks when it is quiet.

Greece
Paros, Santorini, the Peloponnese
We prefer the Greece outside high season: warm water, clear air, islands returning to themselves in September.

Portugal
Alentejo, Comporta, Douro
Unhurried, wide and pleasantly unpretentious. A country for travellers who want calm without giving up good food and good houses.

Indian Ocean
Seychelles, Mauritius, Maldives
Three very different ideas of an island. Choosing between them is where advice actually matters.

Southern Africa
South Africa, Botswana, Zambia
Light, space and a pace that transfers after two days. Safari asks for care with camp, region and season.
02 — Hotel collections we admire
Each of these collections has a recognisable stance. We do not recommend them across the board, but where their signature suits the journey.
Silence as architecture
Few houses understand restraint so consistently. Rooms that explain nothing, and a service that withdraws rather than presses.
Sense of place
Each house feels as if it could stand nowhere else. That rootedness matches our idea of good travel.
Assurance at a high level
Where composure matters more than surprise: family travel, longer stays, cities where everything should simply work.
History and rhythm
Houses and trains with a past, run with an understanding that atmosphere cannot be reconstructed.
Calm, movement, cooking
Wellness without a compulsory programme. If you want to sleep better after a journey than before it, this is often right.
Generosity and ease
Houses with space, sun and a friendly tone — comfortable for families and for travellers who like a little life around them.
Conservation as a basis
Safari that takes its responsibility seriously: few guests, large concessions, guides who make the difference.
French precision
Care down to the detail, without stiffness. Houses that are impeccable and still relaxed.

03 — Travel styles
These are the forms of travel we most enjoy shaping — because they reward care, and because we know what they depend on.
Restraint
Houses without a performance, journeys without display. For guests who prefer calm to visibility.
Sea and rhythm
The choice between island, coast and lagoon decides whether a week by the sea is restorative or merely warm.
Region, camp, season
Three decisions that determine everything. We plan safaris shorter, but in the right places.
Movement as the experience
Journeys where the route is the programme. They work best combined with one or two quiet stays.
Recovery with substance
Not a treatment list but a daily rhythm: sleep, movement, cooking, light. The house follows from that.
For every age
Good family journeys need room for different needs — and houses that genuinely like children.
Calm after the celebration
Usually a combination of one lively and one very quiet place. The order makes the difference.
04 — Signature experiences
Not packages, but tested shapes. Length, pace and ambition can be adjusted; the underlying idea stays.

Tuscany
Seven to ten days
One country house, one city, plenty of time in between. Best in late May or September.

Greece in September
Ten to fourteen days
Warm water, empty bays, tavernas still open. The month when the islands belong to their residents again.

Cape Town & Safari
Twelve to sixteen days
City, coast and bush in one journey. The contrast is the point — provided the order is right.

Kyoto & Hakone
Ten to twelve days
Temples and ryokan, city and stillness. A journey that depends on timing more than almost any other.

Rail through Southern Africa
Four to five days on board
A slow movement through wide country, easily combined with Cape Town or a camp in the bush.

Indian Ocean
Seven to ten days
One house, one beach, little programme. Often the quiet second half of a longer journey.
05 — What guests often ask us for
These requests have accompanied us for years. They show well where personal advice is actually useful.
A place where nothing has to happen
Rarely about facilities, mostly about pace: a house that makes no demands on the day.
Italy, but without the crowded weeks
Almost always a question of season and region — not of compromise.
A first safari, done properly
Fewer stops, better concessions, good guides. The difference is considerable.
A journey that carries children and parents alike
Houses with space, unhurried mornings and a programme that forces nobody.
Two weeks that feel like three
Fewer moves, longer stays, one deliberately empty day per place.
A special occasion, without staging
A good room, the right table, one attention at the right moment — rarely more is needed.

From portfolio to journey
The portfolio describes our direction. Whether it matches your idea is best clarified in conversation.
Name a region, a season or simply a feeling — we will develop the rest with you.
