Privacy Policy

We take the protection of your personal data seriously. Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. We process such data exclusively in accordance with the GDPR and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

This Privacy Policy explains which data we collect when you visit this website, for which purposes we use it, and which rights you hold. Please note that data transmission over the internet may have security gaps; complete protection against access by third parties is not possible.

This website is hosted by an external service provider. The provider processes personal data transmitted through this website — in particular IP addresses, meta and communication data, and access data — on our behalf and solely for the purpose of operating the website.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, fast and reliable presentation of our editorial content pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Where consent has been requested, processing takes place on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

When you browse this website purely for information, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. Where you contact us, subscribe to our letter or submit a concierge enquiry, we process the data you provide voluntarily.

We collect only the data required for the respective purpose. Providing personal data is neither legally nor contractually required; however, without certain information we may be unable to respond to your enquiry.

If you send us an enquiry through our contact form, the details you provide — including your name, email address and message — are stored for the purpose of processing your request and in case of follow-up questions.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract, and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries addressed to us pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, or your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. We do not share this data without your consent.

Our concierge enquiry form allows you to share travel preferences such as preferred destinations, travel dates and personal wishes. We process this information solely in order to prepare an individual, non-binding travel proposal for you.

Where a request requires us to contact a hotel, property or partner on your behalf, we transmit only the information strictly necessary for that purpose and only after you have asked us to proceed. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR where consent is given.

If you wish to receive our monthly letter, we require an email address as well as confirmation that you are the owner of that address and consent to receiving it. Registration takes place using a double opt-in procedure; further data is not collected, or is collected on a voluntary basis only.

The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example via the unsubscribe link contained in every letter, or by writing to info@purevoyage.de.

This website uses cookies — small text files stored on your device. Necessary cookies are required for the technical operation of the website and are set on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Cookies that are not technically necessary — in particular for analysis or marketing — are only set with your prior consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG. You may withdraw or adjust your consent at any time through the cookie settings, and you can configure your browser to refuse cookies entirely.

In order to understand which editorial stories resonate with our readers, we may use analytics services that record anonymised or pseudonymised information about the use of this website, such as pages viewed, time spent and referring source.

Any analysis that is not strictly necessary takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

This website may use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon Hotel, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics uses cookies to analyse your use of the website. The information generated may be transmitted to and stored by Google, including on servers in the United States.

Google Analytics is only activated after you have given your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG. IP anonymisation is enabled, so your IP address is shortened by Google within the European Union before transmission. You may withdraw your consent at any time.

This website may use the Pinterest Tag, a service provided by Pinterest Europe Ltd., Palmerston Address, 2nd Floor, Fenian Street, Dublin 2, Ireland. The tag allows us to measure the performance of editorial content shared on Pinterest and to display relevant content to visitors.

The Pinterest Tag is only loaded after you have given your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

The provider of this website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits to us. This includes the browser type and version, the operating system used, the referrer URL, the host name of the accessing computer, the time of the server request and the IP address.

This data is not merged with other data sources. Collection takes place on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR: we have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of our website. Log files are deleted after a short retention period.

Editorial articles on this website may contain embedded content such as maps, videos or fonts provided by third parties. When such content is loaded, the provider receives your IP address and may set cookies or track your interaction with the embedded element.

Where embedding is not technically necessary, content is only loaded after your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Please refer to the privacy policies of the respective providers for details of their processing.

Pure Voyage maintains editorial profiles on social networks. When you visit these profiles, the respective network processes your data under its own responsibility and in accordance with its own privacy policy.

Links to our profiles on this website are implemented as simple hyperlinks. No data is transmitted to the networks until you actively follow such a link.

We store personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or for as long as statutory retention obligations — in particular under commercial and tax law — require.

Once the purpose ceases to apply and no retention obligation remains, the corresponding data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

You have the right to obtain information about the personal data we store about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR), to request erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), to request restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), and to receive your data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (Art. 20 GDPR).

You may also object at any time to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence or place of the alleged infringement.

Many processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You may withdraw consent already given at any time with effect for the future. An informal message by email to info@purevoyage.de is sufficient.

The lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent up to the point of withdrawal remains unaffected.
