A terrace above the bay of Portofino, level with the pines.
The suite sits on the flank of the house, where the slope falls away. From the terrace the harbour reads as a half-circle, the boats look small, and the sound of the bay arrives softened.
Inside, the room is deliberately restrained: pale fabrics, old wood, a salon closer to a private summer house than to a hotel room.
Why we recommend this suite
Portofino changes by the hour. From up here you can watch it without being part of the crowd — light on the water in the morning, lamps along the quay at night.
The walk down into the village takes ten minutes. You take it gladly, knowing what you return to.

- Couples who want Liguria at a slow pace.
- Travellers looking for a place worth staying in rather than driving on from.
- Less suited to guests with limited mobility — the house is built into the slope.

A short path through the garden, down to the harbour and back again.
When should you book this suite?
In May or September, when the terrace is usable all day. In high summer life moves to the water anyway and the premium makes less sense. Note that this category goes early across the season — six months of lead time is realistic, and rather more for June and September.
