Rooms That Make the Difference
In many houses it is not the category that shapes a stay but the room number.
5 minutes

It is among the least spectacular and most effective parts of our work: choosing the right room. Two rooms of the same category can differ markedly in view, quiet and daylight, and the difference usually costs nothing.
What we look at first
Aspect and floor before square metres. A smaller room with morning light over a courtyard is almost always better than a larger suite above the service entrance.
Historic houses
In palazzi and townhouses it pays to ask for the first floor, where the ceilings are higher and the proportions original. Directly under the roof is often warmer than comfortable in summer.
Resorts
Position relative to the restaurant terrace and the children's area decides the quiet. Guests who sleep early should take the villas at the far end of the beach, even if the walk is longer.
When we handle a booking we note preferred rooms by number. A small effort with a noticeable effect.
