From the Suite Collection — Suite No. 08
Villa im Borgo
Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco — Val d'Orcia, Toskana
A stone house of your own in the Val d'Orcia, with a pool, a kitchen and cypresses.
The estate's villas are spread across the land, each with its own garden and pool. They are restored farmhouses: thick walls, terracotta, fireplaces, kitchens people actually cook in.
You are not staying in a hotel but in the countryside — with the restaurant, the cellar and the service of the house available when you want them.
Why we recommend this suite
Tuscany improves the less you drive. A villa makes the stay the destination: breakfast in the garden, an outing in the morning, the rest belongs to the house.
For two families or three generations this plan is the easiest solution — everyone has their own space, the evening brings them together.
Who it suits
- Families and groups who want to spend a week in one place.
- Travellers who want to cook without giving up hotel service.
- Less suited to short stays of two or three nights.
What makes it special
The private pool
Screened, with a view across the Val d'Orcia hills.
The kitchen
Fully equipped — or with a chef who cooks in the house in the evening.
The borgo
The restored hamlet with restaurant, cellar and small church is within walking distance.
When does a villa make sense?
From four adults and five nights. That is when the kitchen, the chef and the pool are genuinely used and the day no longer has to be built around restaurant hours. For two travellers a suite in the borgo is the better fit — closer to the life of the estate, and dinner is a short walk away.
