Our hotel selection is neither a database nor a ranking. It is the selection we would make if you asked us where to stay in Italy, in Greece, or in the Okavango Delta.
A house enters when it has a strong sense of place, a character of its own, hospitality that thinks ahead, design that will still hold in ten years — and when the stay stays with you afterwards. Brand, award and list position play no part.
For every house we say what we would say on the telephone: why we chose it, who it suits, which room we would take, when to go — and a note you would otherwise only learn on arrival.
