The process

How We Work

Five steps, nothing more. You always know what we are working on and what comes next.

From idea to journey

  1. 01

    Getting to know you

    A conversation, not a questionnaire.

We talk about how you travel: how much quiet, how much movement, how much programme. What has stayed with you — and what you would rather not repeat.

Twenty minutes on the telephone is usually enough. Nothing is committed.

Duration: one conversation, often the same day.

  2. 02

    Recommendations

A short selection, each with a reason.

You receive two to four suggestions, not twenty. For every house we write why it suits you, who it suits less well, and which room we would choose.

If an idea does not hold, we say so. Restraint is part of the advice.

Duration: usually two to four days.

  3. 03

    Planning

    Order, pace, detail.

The chosen direction becomes a journey: the order of places, the length of stays, the connections between them, the free days. We check room categories, position within the house, aspect and season.

You see the draft before anything becomes binding.

Duration: depends on the journey, usually a week.

  4. 04

    Booking

    Clear, in writing, without surprises.

You receive a complete summary: inclusions, prices, payment dates, cancellation terms. Only then do we book.

Where partnerships exist, they work in your favour — in the choice of room, in upgrades subject to availability, in the attention you receive on arrival.

You decide. We handle the arrangements.

  5. 05

    Support

Reachable for as long as you are travelling.

Before departure you receive the essentials in compact form. While you travel we remain reachable, should something change — a connection, a weather window, a wish that arises on the day.

After your return we are glad to hear how it was. It informs what we recommend next.

    Reachable throughout the journey.

What you may expect

And what you may not.

  • We only recommend what we can stand behind.

If a house does not suit you, we say so — even when it is the one being asked for.

  • You always speak to the same person.

No changing contacts, no ticket system.

  • We do not guarantee experiences.

We take care over the selection and the preparation. The rest happens on the ground.

  • Advice comes without obligation.

An agreement only exists once you book.

What travellers tell us afterwards

A few lines from notes we received after journeys ended. No ratings, no awards — only what stayed with people.

  • We had two houses in mind and booked a third in the end. The reasoning was so clear that the decision became easy.

  • The advice on which weeks to avoid changed our journey. We went two weeks later — and had the river to ourselves.
    Dr. A. S.MünchenTanzania, family journey
  • We were not persuaded, we were asked questions. That was the difference to everything we had before.

Let's begin with a conversation.

Tell us in a few lines what you have in mind. Everything else we can discuss calmly.
